Ryedale District Council - Various council buildings
Planned Preventative Maintenance Surveys
Project Overview:
Bsurv was commissioned by Ryedale District Council to carry out Planned Maintenance Surveys across 16 commercial properties, including their main headquarters. The entire project was successfully completed within a one-month timeframe.
Challenges:
The portfolio of buildings varied significantly in construction, materials, and use, ranging from a large tenanted Grade II office to smaller facilities such as public toilets. This diversity required a tailored approach to assess each property accurately.
Our Approach:
Our team managed every aspect of the project, including:
Conducted comprehensive condition surveys of all 16 buildings.
Defect diagnosis
Identified defects and repair requirements for each building
Cost Plan
Provided detailed budget cost estimates and timescale assessments for rectification works.
Budget forecasting
Prepared condition reports to support internal funding requests to feed directly into the Council’s Management Plan.
Results:
The surveys provided Ryedale District Council with a clear, actionable overview of their property portfolio’s condition. The findings enabled informed budgeting and maintenance planning, ensuring all properties could be effectively managed and maintained in line with statutory and operational requirements.
