Bsurv was appointed as Party Wall Surveyor including carrying out a Schedule of Condition to a property adjoining a building where extensive construction works were proposed. The scope of works to the main property included the removal of a chimney breast, a full-width rear extension, a dormer loft conversion, and significant internal alterations.
Challenges:
Due to the scale of the proposed works and their proximity to the neighbouring property, it was essential to protect the adjoining owner’s interests. The project also involved the installation of steelwork into a shared wall, triggering requirements under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
