Our client’s brief was to create additional ground floor space to their existing three-bedroom semi-detached home. Bsurv designed a single storey rear extension to create an open kitchen, diner and snug area to the rear of the property. A contemporary extension design was produced to contrast the traditional 1940’s property exterior, whilst incorporating existing architectural features of the existing building such as solider brick courses to the two sets of patio doors. Several pyramid roof lights were included within the flat roof to provide high levels of natural light to the newly created internal spaces. Our services included preparing planning drawings, obtaining planning permission, preparing detailed design building regulations tender drawings, obtaining building regulations approvals and monitoring construction on site.
