Our client’s brief was to refurbish, modernise and extend their existing 1970’s three-bedroom detached dormer bungalow. Our careful design working within the permitted development planning guidance included the conversion of the existing garage into a large 4th double bedroom with en-suite. A single storey rear extension was also designed within permitted development planning guidance (3m x 3.70m), and in conjunction with careful internal alterations, created an exceptional open plan lounge/kitchen/diner space over 38m2 in size. Apex glazing and bi-folding doors ensure the dining room and kitchen benefit from large amounts of natural light, whilst creating an excellent link between the dining space and rear garden. Our services included preparing planning drawings, obtaining planning permission, preparing detailed design building regulations tender drawings, obtaining building regulations approvals and monitoring construction on site.
